DKU IT is pleased to announce that DKU now offers campus-wide licensing to MATLAB & Simulink, a mathematical computing software for engineers, scientists, mathematicians, and researchers.

It allows faculty, researchers, staff, and students to download and install all of the licensed products on their work and personal computers. This gives everyone unlimited access to a common set of tools, included all toolbox, both on and off campus.
Integrating MATLAB into curriculum builds computational literacy in support of students developing computational thinking skills. To ensure all faculty, staff, and students are taking full advantage of our new license, please inform everyone in your academic areas to download and install the software. Matlab account registration must use your DKU campus email address, the suffix is “dukekunshan.edu.cn”, for example: micky.mouse@dukekunshan.edu.cn. Please select a strong password that is different than your NetID password! Building computational thinking through integrated curriculum (video)

MATLAB Onramp – This introductory course includes demonstrations, quizzes, and hands-on MATLAB practice sessions that allow users to apply the skills immediately.

MATLAB Online – Faculty and students can get instant access to MATLAB from a web browser (requires that they associate to our Campus-Wide License). This is particularly useful for anyone new to MATLAB who would like to try it out prior to downloading the software.

Downloading MATLAB
Get Access through: DKU’s MATLAB portal

Instructions
For new accounts, you may be prompted to set up your Profile once logged in.

Download the Installer:
1. Go to our MATLAB Portal. Select “Sign in to get started” under the Get MATLAB and Simulink section.
2. You need to use DKU email address to register Mathworks Account.
3. Click the download button for the current release. (Users can also download previous releases here).
4. Choose a supported platform and download the installer.

Installing and Activating MATLAB from the Downloaded Installer

Install and Activate:

1. Run the installer.
2. In the installer, select Log in with a MathWorks Account and follow the online instructions.
3. When prompted to do so, select the Academic – Total Headcount license labeled Individual.
4. Select the products you want to download and install.
5. After downloading and installing your products, keep the Activate MATLAB checkbox selected and click Next.
6. Follow the prompts to activate MATLAB.
